Hey there folks,

I have here two things I want to get rid of for some cash to help pay the bills. First is a first-generation Brailliant 40-cell Braille display. The device is pretty simple, consisting of forty cells with accompanying cursor routing buttons and three navigation keys on either end. Unfortunately however, while this display is meant to be portable and is supported by IOS devices like IPhones and IPads, the battery on it has died, so it only works while plugged in. As it is, therefore, this display is ideal if you want a simple, no frills display for home or office use. I've tested it with Jaws, NVDA, and IOS and it works like it should. I'm asking six hundred bucks for this guy, though I would be willing to haggle over the price to a reasonable degree. Keep in mind that at the date of purchase this was almost three grand, and even though the battery doesn't work, the display itself is in perfect working order, with every dot being as crisp and reliable as it was when I first got it.

The second item on my need to get rid of list is my old Braille Note PK. I got this little guy back in 2008, right as I was starting college. Considering how old it is, it's served me quite well, and is a nice little device if you want a simple note taker with a small Braille Display. It does have some signs of use on it, since I've used it pretty consistently, but everything still works exactly as it should. It's currently running Keysoft version 7.5, Build 31, which is the latest upgrade my SMA allows. At date of purchase, this was almost six thousand dollars. Nevertheless, I realize that this note taker is quite old, has been used rather often, and its capabilities are rather limited. Therefore, if there is any interest on it, I'll open the floor to any reasonable offers.

For any or both of these items, shipping is on me. For practicality's sake, I'm only shipping to U.S. addresses. Check or PayPal transactions accepted.

Feel free to reply here if interested, PM me, or shoot me an email at albano.berberi@Gordon.edu for more details.

Thanks for reading,

Albano.

Hmm, interested in your pk unit.

What's the difference between a pk and a braillenote mpower?

A PK is designed to be smaller and more portable than an MPower. The problem is, because it's smaller than an MPower, it's literally smaller. In every way. Eighteen-cell display instead of 32, one CF card slot, no SD card slot, no USB host ports, only a client USB port, and no dialup or Ethernet connectivity. And only twelve megs of memory, though of course that can be supplemented with CF cards, of which I have a couple that I can part with. Basically, it's designed to be a no-frills note taker/minimal PDA, which can then be connected to a PC computer for wider connectivity. Well, unless you happen to have a wireless CF card, which were quite rare when I first got the unit six years ago.

Ah, I'm wanting to go on the net with the device.

Now that I know that there is no internet on it, I am no longer interested.
